Oh. My. Entwistle’s had the single coil pickups with the ‘dummy’ coil in the centre, which was wired up but ‘silent’ as it had no magnet. However, this made each single coil ‘buck the hum’ - and this was adjustable via trim pots through the rear control cover.. The spider web inlays were Sterling Silver. And it had the full tonal Q range. Biggest regret of my life was not buying a Mk 1 Omega (I think) when I had the chance…

I wonder why they don´t test a guitar of this caliber CLEAN , sounds muddy and noisy to me, sounds like a Ibanez or something else, independent that the guitarist would be the best of the best.

I've seen cats on here butcher the heck out of good guitars with countless silly mods and still not sound half as good as you do just grabbing one right out the box. Lesson of the day? Practice & learn to play.

I like these types of guitars. Heavy. Also, it's most likely in 1969, some of the people building the 59's etc, were still around building these, but with further experience. Wood and layout might not have been as good as early models, but probably better than today. Still 55 years ago.

I’m now the proud owner of that guitar, picked it up from Norm’s and it’s now in the UK. It’s as good as it looks, although I doubt I’ll ever be able to make it sound as good as Lemmo
